Here's how it works
There are many different ways we can handle your wedding painting. It really all depends on your vision and individual needs. No matter what approach we take, the end result is sure to be magical!

Step 1: Let’s discuss your vision!
I want your painting to turn out exactly how you envision. We will discuss canvas size, location, colors, and poses.
I am a realistic wedding painter. This means you will be the focus - not your guests! I put the majority of my time and energy into painting the couple, and therefore do not include any guests in your painting.
Step 2: Record/Photograph
Since I am painting one singular moment in time, it’s crucial that I snap a photo of that moment to reference.
Please have the location picked out before your wedding day. I will arrive as early as possible to get started painting before your guests arrive. First look sessions are preferred - but not required. Keep in mind that the earlier I can get a reference photo taken, the more time I will have to paint on wedding day - and the more finished your painting will look by the end of the night.
Step 3 : Paint
The best part!
Once I have a reference photo that we all agree upon, I'll get started painting right away. Keep in mind that your painting will not be entirely finished by the end of the night - and that's a good thing! I'll spend upwards of 20 additional hours on your painting to get the tiny brush details absolutely perfect.
Step 4 : Finish in my studio
It is not likely that I will finish your painting the night of. The more time I have, the more detailed I can get! I always aim to give my couples that extra “wow” factor that the painting truly deserves.
I will send photos of your finished painting for approval before sealing it with a clear varnish that protects the colors from fading. I will make a maximum of 2 rounds of changes free of charge. Additional changes after that will incur a fee at my discretion.
My studio is in Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment located in Huntsville. You can pick your painting up here, or have it shipped if you are not local. Shipping will be an additional cost and risks damage to your painting.

Why Live Painting Rules
Have you ever seen a live painter at a wedding or swanky charity event? It's a relatively new concept, so chances are you haven't (and you really, really should). Here's why!
I provide eye catching, one-of-a-kind entertainment for your guests. Imagine you're a guest at an event I'm painting. You analyze the early stages of the painting. You start to recognize the space as the one you're standing in. Suddenly you're invested. An hour goes by and you pass by my table as you head for the bar to grab a drink. You see the painting developing right before your eyes. You find yourself making a point to check my progress every hour, and perhaps you're curious enough to ask me what I'm doing. I stop to chat with you about my work, making a personal connection as I eagerly explain my process and what the final result will be.
Now you're even more invested. I start to add figures and the defining details that encapsulate the event. You return to your table and ask your friends "oh my gosh, have you seen the painter over there?" BOOM discussions are happening. Before you know it, it's time to wrap up the evening. You stop by my table one last time and find yourself in awe of the final result. You recognize the people, the place, and the moment. "What a cool way to commemorate the day" you think to yourself.
And the best part - that painting is eternal. More precious than a photograph. People will remember it.
"Kelly did a live painting for our wedding and we absolutely love it! Not only did she create a beautiful piece, she also interacted with our guests. We received so many compliments during our wedding, and for months to follow. Kelly does a wonderful job capturing what clients are looking for, while also adding her special touches! Her work speaks for itself and we cannot wait to fill our home with more art from her in the future."
